Our Mission

The mission of the American Society of Women Accountants Educational Foundation
(The Foundation) is to promote and advance financial literacy, scholarship and life skills
through programs of recognition, mentoring, research and outreach.

Our Programs

The Foundation programs promote and advance financial literacy, scholarship and life skills through programs of recognition, mentoring, research and outreach.  Our goals are realistic and take both an external and internal focus.

They are:

Scholarships (designed to assist those in need):

 

  • Certification Scholarships for those preparing to sit for any one of the
    following certification exams: CPA, CFP, CFE, CIA, CMA or CVA.

 

  • 2-year College Scholarships for those attending Community, State or 2-year
    Colleges toward an accounting or finance degree.

 

  • Undergraduate Accounting & Finance Major Scholarships (4- or 5-year
    programs) to support the costs of students attending 3rd, 4th or 5th year towards
    an accounting or finance degree.

 

Foundation Awards Program to recognize and celebrate the individuals and
companies that have shown a commitment to work/life balance and sensitivity to
the concerns of women in accounting and related fields.

 

Financial Literacy Programs for Women in Need developed to address the specific
needs of women who require mentoring support and training in the 1- 2 of
understanding financial principles.
